Practice & Patience
With directions for a two step hustle on the floor of the gallery that neither us know, this performance with my partner happened every day at dusk to a disco version of volaré. We both attempt to learn by doing and aim to work in tandem. This work was exhibited as part of Eyelevel Gallery's Y-Level emerging artist exhibition Building Relationships with Cinder Blocks in 2011. Documentation by Matthew Carswell.
This exhibition was an investigation into the physical and psychological effects of mourning. The installation attempts to depict the isolation of melancholia as well as the fixations and fears accompanying memories which no longer bear a common recollection. Vestige was exhibited at the Anna Leonowens in 2011.
